Industry Forum

An active state policy, innovation, EU’s climate policy and infrastructure development will be the focus of the Industry Forum to take place in Karpacz on 17-19 December.

Since the global economic crisis broke out in 2008, the industrial development and reindustrialization of Europe have returned to economic debate. Why have countries with a strong and well-developed industry dealt better with the economic turmoil of recent years? How to adapt climate policy to boost economic growth of the European industry? What are the leading industry sectors of the EU worth investing in? How to create proper conditions for innovation? Such questions will be raised and rediscussed by politicians, business representatives and experts from all over Europe.

The Forum in Karpacz will be an opportunity for a broad debate about the most important problems of European industry. Members of governments and parliaments, representatives of different industrial sectors, experts and economists will attend the conference.

The event is organised by the Institute for Eastern Studies. The Industry Forum will continue and expand the format of the Energy Forum, one of the key conferences organised by the Institute since 2006. Three days of debates will be composed of dozens of events – discussions, plenary sessions, thematic blocs and expert lectures – divided into seven thematic tracks. The conference will gather over 1,000 participants from different European countries.
